Job Description Summary
GW’s Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) provides leading edge programs in electrical and computer engineering in order to provide leadership in a rapidly evolving global information society in the service of humanity and to advance the state of knowledge in our disciplines by actively pursuing scholarly research for publication and dissemination.

:Duties will include
Conducting research on the next generation computing chips to push the performance limits of optoelectronic devices to the limit by scaling and novel physical material-based effects, and technology hybridization.
Leading research papers and coordinates research proposal writing and reports
Supervises research assistants/students and present research in the area of high-performance heterogeneous computing and future processor architectures
Prototyping posMoore’s law processors using Field Programmable Gate Arrays and modeling/evaluating their performance as well as area and power requirements.
Performs other work related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.
Minimum Qualifications
Qualified candidates will hold a PhD in a related discipline. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position
Preferred Qualifications
Applicant will have a Doctorate in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science or in a related discipline
Working knowledge of reconfigurable computing and understanding of computer systems
