PhD Student Position in Nano-biomaterials and Tissue Engineering at Michigan Technological University HOUGHTON, MI

About the Job

Abadi research lab at Michigan Tech has an opening for a PhD student position in the area of Nano-biomaterials and tissue engineering, starting Fall 2019. A BS degree in Biomedical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related field is required. MS degree and previous research experience in one or more of the areas of cell culture, stem cell biology, 3D bioprinting, and biomaterials are preferred but not required

Our research lab explores the biomedical applications of nanomaterials and probes the role of mechanics in tissue engineering and medical devices. We develop state-of-the-art materials and technologies for solving biomedical problems. Based on experience, expertise, and interest of the admitted student, projects could be in the area of cardiac and neural tissue engineering, stem cell differentiation, nano-biomaterials, and 3D bioprinting. The admitted student will receive tuition waiver and a stipend of > $7,000 per semester (> $8100 if holding an MS degree ).
